Supervision & Disentanglement
One of my teachers once described supervision simply as "how to do life."
It is a blend of thinking together, sharing knowledge, and receiving the necessary support to keep going. For over 20 years, I have been on the receiving end of extraordinarily skilled supervision. I know that its benefits (clarity, unsticking, and shifting) are not measured in widgets, but in wisdom.
A Safe Place for the "Micromoments"
Disentanglement: Exploring the Labyrinth
We are all bigger on the inside. We carry an amazing internal labyrinth of stories, histories, and assumptions that is constantly shifting.
"Disentanglement" is the work of pausing to put our micromoments under the microscope. It is about:
-
Separating your emotions from the systems you work in.
-
Finding the untrue stories we live as true that block clear thinking.
-
Loosening the threads of history so you can see the present clearly.
Workplaces can be tough, and OD can be lonely. Disentanglement provides the safety to look at it all objectively, receive support, and move forward unburdened.
I am currently writing a short ebook on the concept of Disentanglement, a guide to loosening the knots in our professional lives.
